How To Get A Seaman Book (COMPLETE GUIDE)



Seaman's Book or SIRB (Seafarers Identification and Record Book) is one of many documents that are needed in order for you to work aboard ship.

 But first, bear in mind that before you apply for a Seaman's Book you have to prepare some documents first in order for you to get your own Seaman's Book.

 Here are the documents needed;
1. NBI Clearance
2. (A) Transcript of Records from your school with dry seal and signed by CHED or Commision on Higher Education at your Region - from where you graduated
(B) Certificate of Authentication and Verification (CAV) from CHED
3. Birth Certificate from NSO
4. Basic Safety Training Certificate or also known as SOLAS
5. 2 pcs. 2X2 picture
6. PhP 800.00 Regular process, PhP 1500.00 for Expedite

 If you completed all these documents, you may proceed to Maritime Industry Authority (MARINA).

Magandang aaraw sir Lito! Thanks a lot for posting this. Tanong ko lang po, updated po ba ang mga address nitong mga Regional Offices? Balak ko sanang kumuha ng SIRB sa Batangas dahil super bagal dito sa Manila. So sinearch ko yung address ng MARINA-Region IV, pero iba yung address na nakita ko sa isang site:
